The Cereus scent collection, founded by the current president of Cereus Fragrances, Bill Rosenbaum, has just branched out to include women's frangrances in addition to men's. The scents pour les femmes, No 3, No 9, and No 12, have been called "hidden gems" of emerging perfume brands by Sniffapalozza Magazine. This description fits the collection well. The name of the collection stems from the Cereus Flower, a rare desert flower that only blooms at night in June and July (exotic and beautiful!).
The company has deliberately chosen to number their different perfume fragrances instead of name them to let the scents speak for themselves. The scents are also unattached to any celebrity or specific person. The fragrances thus set a trend all by themselves, without finding a huge, recognizable name or label and following suit.
This is a great collection for any woman (or teen) who enjoys playful fragrances without caring about any celeb endorsement or haute couture label (no hype, just quality scents meant to satisfy YOU). The fragrances are warm and sophisticated, and Cereus sends a message of independence, quality, and pride in the careful composition of their scents.
No 3 - magnolia blossoms, citrus, peony, jasmine, musk: sophisticated and earthy
No 9 - black currant, raspberry, bergamot, Bulgarian Rose, vanilla, musks, sandalwood, cedarwood: fruity, light, playful (my personal favorite scent)
No 12 - black currant, peach flower, watermelon, Brazilian Rosewood, vanilla: delicate, summery, elegant
Mom Central received samples of Cereus Perfumes No 3, No 9, and No 12 in order to review these products.
